Paynter Field Jacket Pattern
Paynter Jacket Co. releases made to order jackets, in limited edition batches, just four times a year. It's their way of making sure that there's no waste from over production. Their jackets are classic pieces that will stand the test of time and get better with age. A collaboration with Merchant & Mills, this field jacket sewing pattern is Paynter’s first make-your-own jacket pattern.
The sewing pattern package will include two woven labels, a small Paynter neck label, and a larger, limited edition label by Studio Ludio to sew into your jacket. The larger label features the sun and the moon to represent time and getting lost in the practice of making. These labels are only available in the paper pattern and won’t be sold elsewhere.
Sizes: XS - XXL
Skill Level: Advanced
Suggested Fabrics:
7-8oz denim, wool, cotton twill, dry oilskin, or canvas.
Note: There are 9 layers to sew through during the pocket construction so check the fabric selected to make sure the machine can accommodate it! Merchant & Mills released a step-by-step video tutorial for constructing the bellows-style hip pockets.

- 13 x 3/4" buttons
- 4 x 1/2" buttons
- 1 yd of interfacing
- 1/4 yd lightweight cotton for pocket flap tabs (if using heavy fabric)
